Our Uniform & Equipment Guidelines
The purpose of having uniform guidelines is to promote equality among the players and teams as well as to promote Foresthill Divide Little League and give recognition to our sponsors. FDLL will maintain a traditional baseball uniform style utilizing the following standards for the all recreational seasons:
INCLUDED WITH REGISTRATION:
- Shirt: Each player will be provided a numbered shirt displaying the Foresthill Divide LL logo on the front and the team sponsor's name on the back. Player last name will not be included on the back. No personalization will be granted. Each team in the division will have a different color jersey.
- Baseball Hats: Each player and coach will be provided a baseball cap (baseball) or visor (softball) displaying the official team logo. It is a requirement by LL that all baseball players wear their uniform hat while fielding in games.
- Little League Patch: Spring season uniforms will also have the LL Patch affixed to the left sleeve. We do not include patches in fall.
NOT INCLUDED - PLAYER TO PURCHASE:
Everything else can be as cheap as you can find it at the younger ages. We encourage you check Play It Again Sports for gently used equipment or Dicks / Walmart / Amazon for new gear or check out our team store at FDLL Swag.
- Baseball Pants: The color will be chosen by the team manager. All players are expected to follow uniform requirements so all players look consistent.
- Socks: Socks should be a solid color that matches the team colors. This is often dictated by the team manager.
- Belt: “Athletic” stretch baseball belt is required to be purchased by the player for divisions AA Rookies and older, matching the team colors as dictated by team manager. Belts are optional in tee ball and A-ball and are not provided by the league (baseball pants for these ages generally are drawstring / don't have belt loops).
- Glove: 10 inch for tee ball / A-ball, 11-12 inch LEATHER glove for AA Rookies. See here for helpful grids
- Bat: Must have the USA STAMP
- Tee Ball: 25 or 26 inch
- A-ball/AA Rookies: 27 or 28 inch
- Tee ball bats are not made to hit real baseballs. No tee ball bats are permitted for divisions Minors A and above.
- Cleats: Not required, but STRONGLY recommended for A-Ball+. Soccer cleats are better than no cleats.
- Helmet: FDLL tries to provide each coach with enough helmets for the team. People can choose to have their own NOCSAE approved batting helmet.
- Minors AAA+: While not required, FDLL strongly recommends using a jaw guard or full face mask for player protection.
- Face masks can be purchased separately and attached to a used helmet.
- Fielders Mask: Masks are optional when playing AA Rookies or higher. Masks are not recommended for younger divisions.
- Protective Cup: All boys Minors A and above are required to wear a cup.
- Batting Gloves: Not required but can be worn
- Water Jug: Our practices can get hot and tiring - bring lots of water!
- Baseball Bag: You’ll need a baseball bag to hold all of your gear!
*We supply catcher's gear to each of our teams.
*PLEASE label all of your child's gear with their name!
